Advocacy

The rich cycling environment that we enjoy in the Bay Area is a product of many dedicated groups and individuals engaged in promoting the bicycle as a healthy form of recreation as well as a viable means of transportation. Bicycle advocates take many shapes and forms, from the Senator who introduces a bill to develop a network of bike trails around the Bay, to a person reporting a pothole on their street, and the work never seems to be finished! So we can all do a part in making the experience of riding a bike safer and more enjoyable. Here is a sampling of the people and groups working to improve the lot of cyclists, locally and nationally.
