The 2011 Gary Fisher Erwin Rocks!!!

The Gary Fisher Erwin is a smartly designed bike that will give you versatility without compromise. It's designed for cyclocross, but could be used as an every day commuter (especially for those with long commutes!), or even light weight tours. The custom-butted steel frame provides a lively, yet comfortable ride. One of the coolest features of the bike are it's adjustable rear dropouts. Adjustable??!! That's right. This feature allows one to fine tune the handling depending on useage. For racing or fast road riding, shorten the wheelbase and the bike becomes sporty. Stretch it out for a cushier ride...perfect for touring! At 24lbs., it comes in significantly lighter than many other touring bikes. As with any cross bike worth it's salt, it offers huge mud clearance. It has durable Bontrager wheels with 34c knobbies that bite the dirt for traction, yet handle surprisingly well on the street. The 46/36 gearing up front, and 9-speed 11-26 in back is perfect for all but the steepest ascents. If you want lot's of different options for your riding, but only the budget for one bike, this is the machine that you need!! Msrp is $1540, but Missing Link has it priced at $1399.
